Domestic Violence Advocacy Support and Outreach
Our team of family and domestic violence support workers provides assistance, support, referrals and advocacy to victims of domestic violence. We have Advocates located in Karratha, Hedland and Newman.
We can support with:
Client support and safety planning
Work with solicitors and other support workers to case plan
Advocating for victims and their families to promote access to services
Family and Domestic violence education and awareness raising
Our team works closely in conjunction with police and other agencies, both government and non-government, to help victims of family and domestic violence develop strategies to keep themselves and their families safe, reduce risk of future abuse and navigate the justice and social service systems.
PCLS are members of the Pilbara Family Domestic Violence Network and the Centre the Women’s Safety and Wellbeing, the peak body for women’s specialist domestic and family violence, community-based women’s health and sexual assault services in Western Australia.
