Administration and Leadership

Administration

PCLS have Administration Assistants who are responsible for the day-to-day running of the front desk and back of house business functions. Ideally you will hold a Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration.

Leadership

We have several Team Leaders and Executive members who provide guidance and instruction to teams and projects. They delegate work, oversee progress and coach team members towards reaching goals.  Leaders ensure compliance and sustainability of an organisation.  To be a Team Leader, a relevant degree or post graduate degree is desirable, along with substantial experience in the industry.

Advocate

Preferable to hold an undergraduate degree, Advocates work with clients with complex needs. You must have excellent communication skills, be able to build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders and work with vulnerable members of the community.

Tenancy Advocates

Tenancy Advocates are required to have strong communication skills, be excellent at communicating with others, and developing solutions to issues

Family and Domestic Violence Advocate

Support Worker

Support Workers are required to have strong communication skills, be understanding, patient and have a willingness to help vulnerable people in our community. Support Workers ideally will have a certificate or a diploma level in Community Services, Individual Support, or other relevant qualification.

Housing Support Worker
Redress Support Worker

Assists with the National Redress Support Scheme, supporting clients through the application process. The National Redress Scheme provides support services are free and independent and offer emotional and practical support for community members that have experienced. Scheme provides support services are free and independent and offer emotional and practical support
Redress Support Workers can:

Migration Support
Migration Support Workers assist newly arrived migrants to help them adjust to Australian life. This may involve assisting with setting up finances, driver licence and linking to social groups in the community.

Financial Counselling and Traineeship

PCLS has Financial Wellbeing Workers (2 units in Financial Counselling to be completed on the job), Financial Counselling Trainees (on the job training in a Diploma) and Financial Counsellors (Completion of a Diploma)

Solicitor

A solicitor is usually the first person to engage with a client to assist with a legal issue.  Solicitors require excellent attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, problem solving, research skills and critical thinking. At PCLS we focus on family law, criminal injuries compensation and E-Licence application and removal of licence disqualifications.

Karratha

Are you passionate about community and improving the lives of people in the Pilbara. This is an exciting new opportunity to join our Family and Domestic Violence team in partnership with Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation (RRKAC) – it is a part-time role (0.4FTE or 15.2 hours per week) working from our Karratha office and is a maximum term contract for 2 years. 

About the Job

A culturally secure Family and Domestic Violence prevention and early intervention program for Aboriginal parents with children aged 0-5 or expecting parents. This strengths-based initiative provides specialist case management, referrals, information, education and advocacy. Delivered in partnership with Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation (RRKAC), the program ensures community-led, culturally responsive support tailored to the needs of individuals, families and the community.

Roebourne

Are you passionate about community and improving the lives of people in the Pilbara. This is an exciting new opportunity to join our Family and Domestic Violence team – it is a part-time role (0.6FTE) working from our Roebourne office and is a maximum term contract for 2 years.

About the Job

The Family and Domestic Violence Advocate Program is a community-based initiative that aims to raise awareness of family violence in the Pilbara region. The Program focuses on case management, community engagement and capacity building strategies. This is a newly created role for our Roebourne office.

 

Karratha

As a Receptionist, you will be part of a dynamic team learning and assisting in various administrative and operational tasks essential to the smooth running of the business. We’re looking for a motivated Receptionist to join our dynamic team! This is a full-time role based in our Karratha office.

About the Job:

  • Customer Service: attending reception desk (walk-ins, phones, emails, triaging)
  • Administration Support: scanning, filing, entering information, learning how to write agendas and minutes.
  • Work Health and Safety: follow safety directions and assist the WHS Committee
  • Event Planning: providing event support to staff and attending events
  • Office functions: helping maintain office supplies, equipment, facilities and ensuring a well organised and safe work environment.
  • IT Support: Assist with distribution with laptops and other equipment and log IT issues with the local provider.
  • Document Management: Scanning, filing, archiving and data entry. Collecting and sorting incoming mail and emails. Facilitate preparation of monthly newsletters. Assist with reporting. Meeting agendas, minutes and follow up actions.

As we shortlist, we may contact you initially over the phone and ask a few questions to determine suitability of the role. The top candidates will be shortlisted for an interview.
Face-to-face or Teams interviews

If you live in the Pilbara, you may be contacted for a face-to-face interview to attend one of our office locations. Or if you live outside the Pilbara, you may be contacted to dial into a Teams interview. This will allow us to talk more about how your skills and experience match the position being advertised.

Reference Checks
After the interview, we may ask you to provide references of 2 managers you have worked with in your previous roles. We will send you a link via Employment Hero requesting the details. Ensure your referees are aware they will be contacted and let them know what role you have applied for. Referees will be contacted via Employment Hero and asked to answer written questions.

Integrity and Compliance Checks

All candidates prior to commencing with PCLS will need the following:
Letter of offer and employment contract
Once all relevant integrity and compliance checks have been finalised, PCLS will give you a call to confirm a start date and will send a letter of offer, followed by an employment contract. People and culture will make a time to go through the contract with you and answer any questions you may have.
