Community Migrant Service
Our Community Migrant Service workers workers are located in our Karratha and South Hedland offices and aim to reduce social isolation and increase opportunities for migrants, humanitarian entrants and ethnic groups by providing information and assistance. The service is also delivered to the Goldfields by Goldfields Community Legal Centre.
Our team provides hands on assistance and guidance to clients from other countries with the ultimate goal of helping them to adjust to life in Australia and to become vital and active members of the community.
The service also helps new and emerging community groups and organisations support their specific communities. Support includes development of leadership and governance skills, linkages to the broader community, interaction with government and local stakeholders,access to resources and facilities.
